In daycare, kids learn to cooperate, to empathize and to be independent. Important life lessons that their less fortunate peers do not encounter until primary school. Daycare facilities, kindergarden, schools and other institutions report unequal opportunities for children and the societal injustice this results in. In the Netherlands, all children have equal opportunities. But how equal are those opportunities, when a privileged group gets an easy head start?
