Amsterdam Museum: the platform for inclusive urban culture
The city of Amsterdam is constantly changing. How do the people that live there experience their dynamic city? To find an answer to that question, the Amsterdam Museum initiated ‘Amsterdam Museum Refresh’: a biannual event for artists to express their view on Amsterdam. This project has brought us some powerful works of art about current events, such as Black Lives Matter, gentrification and the Dutch colonial past. Giving room to a large number of voices, the Amsterdam Museum is actively promoting diversity.
Bourne has composed and managed the campaign around Refresh. With a mix of outdoor, public transport, print, online and radio we made sure we reached every corner of the city – and beyond. The fantastic artwork for the campaign was designed by United Painting in cooperation with designstudio Multitude and photographer Kevin Osepa. The video on this page is made by Aram de Groot.
